Ways To Practice Self-Care

Your alarm clock goes off in the morning. If you were not up already with racing thoughts of your todo list.. I want you to think about that to do list as it begins to race in your mind. If you start to think about the things you need to do for YOURSELF. Realize how quickly you push yourself off the todo list as you begin to list all the things you have to do today, You tell yourself you do not have time for that. You may even convince yourself that you will do it later, We know later does not come. Now you may be saying YES I know I do all this, BUT how do I begin? 


We have discussed why self care is important, and how to start. Now let's talk about what are some things you can do to practice self care on a daily basis.


Put yourself on your todo list, schedule NOT pencil yourself in. Begin by just 5-15 minutes a day. 

Now that you are on your schedule, try with the “basics” wash, brush and style your hair. AKA do more than putting your hair in a bun. Brush your teeth for the allotted time. If you even want to go crazier, shave.Yes I said shave those legs, I know it's winter but make the time. 

Get dressed, meaning match your outfit or even just your socks. Go above and beyond and coordinate your bra and underwear.

Go for a walk around your neighborhood

Create a meal

Practice gratitude

Listen to  song that brings you joy

Surround yourself with people who make you laugh.

Learn something new. 

I want to remind you when you increase your self awareness you are able to describe your stress. To help you increase your self awareness, you have to make time for yourself. This helps you learn what you want and need in your life. I promise you you can do this!
