Is It Stress — or Just Distraction in Disguise?

Stress has a funny way of hijacking our attention. It’s not that we don’t want to work toward our goals — it’s that our nervous system is so overloaded, it seeks refuge in low-stakes tasks that feel safe and doable.

But that “safe” behavior? It can easily turn into noise.

That’s why self-awareness is key.
The moment you catch yourself knee-deep in a junk drawer you didn’t even plan to clean, pause and ask:

🧠 Is this moving me forward… or is this just noise?

Today’s Challenge: Cut the Noise

Since it’s Monday, here’s a simple exercise to kick off your week with clarity:

  1. Write down your top 1–2 goals for the week.

  2. Each morning, choose 3 to 5 key tasks that help you move toward those goals.

  3. Notice your distractions. Are you staying focused, or slipping into the safety zone of noise?

And if you do get distracted?
That’s okay.
The goal isn’t perfection — it’s awareness.
Catch it. Acknowledge it. Refocus.

You’ve got this.
The signals are there. You just have to tune in.

☕️ Bonus Tip:

Want a built-in reset?
Start your morning by drinking your coffee while it’s hot — no distractions, no scrolling. Just two minutes of presence to set the tone for your day.
